Personal data that we collect

The personal data that we collect includes your name, address, email postal address and telephone number.  When appointed to projects we may also collect site specific information to include site photography.

Any personal data that we collect, record or use in any way will be safeguarded ensuring that we comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. We will always ensure that we have a lawful basis for processing the personal data that we collect. 

Your rights in respect of your personal data

You have the right to request access to your personal data, amendments to it and for it to be deleted. The information you provide us enables us to provide a Building Contractor service to you.  

How and when we use your personal data

We’re committed to using your personal data responsibly and lawfully. Here’s what we use   your personal data for:

·  to provide you with fee proposals

·  to deal with your enquiries about our service quickly and efficiently

·  to provide you with project documents

·  to keep you informed about the progress of projects

·  for record keeping purposes

Your personal data is stored within the UK and is never transferred outside the UK unless we are specifically instructed to do so.

Sharing your personal data

There are only a few occasions where we will share your personal data with a third party. They are:

·  where we’re required to disclose it by law – to government bodies for example;

·  when we use sub-contractors to provide services as part of our business we may disclose to them relevant information to enable them to provide services to you on our behalf for example using a structural surveyor to provide a structural report. We will only provide these companies with the information they require to perform services that we have engaged them for and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

We use accepted standards of technology and security to protect your personal data.

For how long will we keep your personal data.

We will only keep your data for as long as we have a lawful reason to retain it.  To make a deletion request please email ppolicy@s4ps.co.uk.

How you can access your personal data

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data that we hold on you by emailing ppolicy@s4ps.co.uk. We’ll ask you for copies of two types of approved identity in order to process your request (such as a passport and driving licence). You can also ask us to make corrections to data you consider to be inaccurate by emailing ppolicy@s4ps.co.uk.
